November Profesional Event: Women, Work, and Calling Conference
Women, Work & Calling 2025 invites women of faith to grow in integrating their work and calling, gaining biblical wisdom and real-world insight from leaders across industries. This event equips you to lead with clarity, courage, and conviction while connecting with a community of like-minded women. Whether attending in person, at a host site, or online, you’ll be encouraged and empowered to bring Christ into every sphere of influence.
November Service Event: Candy Grams for First Responders
For November’s service event, we will be assembling candy cane grams to show appreciation for Waco’s first responders and the vital work they do for our community. This event will be held in partnership with Alpha Kappa Psi, one of Baylor University’s co-ed professional business fraternities. Together, we aim to spread holiday cheer and gratitude to those who serve and protect us year-round.
October Service Event: Walkathon
For October’s service event, we will be hosting a walkathon to raise money for a service organization of our members choosing. The walkathon will take place on the Cub Trail, located behind the BSB and surrounding the rugby field. We will also be hosting a profit share to help raise funds for the origination our members chose to support.
October Professional Event & Headshots
During the Developing Your Communication & Branding event, a human resources professional from Magnolia will be walking members through a variety of ways to develop their communication skills and steps to build their personal brand. Members will utilize a handout to take notes and write down actionable takeaways they can apply to their communication and personal brand today.
October Social Event: Heart O’ Texas Fair
This October, WIB is excited to provide members with tickets to the Heart O’ Texas Fair & Rodeo. The HOT Fair & Rodeo is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the Central Texas community. With the help of over 600 volunteers, the event welcomes more than 230,000 attendees each year and generates $70 million in annual economic impact, while also giving back through youth scholarships. Members will have the opportunity to enjoy the fair with their peers and guests, spend time in the company tent, and experience a live performance by the country band Midland on the main stage.
September Professional Event
During the Elevator Pitch & Resume Workshop, an Enterprise professional will guide members through actionable steps to improve their resumes and develop a solid elevator pitch. After enhancing their resumes and preparing an elevator pitch, WIB members will be prepared to take on the career fair in October.
September Service Event
For September’s service event, students will be given a list of school supplies to donate for Waco Center for Youth (WCY), supporting the facility through preparing materials for the new school year. WCY has helped many adolescents battling behavioral disabilities through the years by providing them with different therapies and teaching them skills they can use when they leave the facility. We are hopeful that our donations will be very meaningful to their students and their mission.
Mandatory Meeting
Join us in foster 240 for the first offical WIB member event of the year! Learn about what the year will look like, how you can further engage with WIB, meet exec, and make new friends! This is a mandatory event for all previous, new, and prospective WIB members.

Mandatory meeting for Women in Business at Baylor!! It is on Wednesday, January 31st, 2024 in Foster 240 from 7:00pm-8:00pm!! Attendance will be taken and it is mandatory for maintaining WIB Membership Status. We will go over events this semester, the attendance policy, board applications, and more!! If you cannot make it, make sure to fill out the meeting excusal form before Friday, January 26th, 2024 at 12pm. You will be notified if you were granted an excusal by January 26th at 5 pm as well as instructions on how to make up the meeting. Linked is the spring membership form if you have not filled it out or only paid for one semester!!

Lilac (Social Event)
Have a fun time with friends as we celebrate the end of the school year! There will be dinner, photo ops, awards, and scholarship ceremony! This event is mid-length to floor length dress attire! Members and plus ones are free of charge!
If you want to bring a plus one, the earlier you fill out the form, the more likely you will be able to! Members have first priority to attend, seniors have first priority to bring a plus one, and the rest will be by the order you fill out the form!
This is a highly encouraged event

Steppin' Out (Service Event)
Participate in Baylor's annual Steppin' Out and give back local Waco residents. In order to receive attendance credit, you must register for Steppin' Out with WIB. You should receive an email from anna_shipcott1@baylor.edu or sydney_trampedach1@baylor.edu in the upcoming days. Please register using the link down below! Registration closes Wednesday, April 5th at 11:59pm!
Shifts are from 8 am-12 pm and 9 am- 1 pm! You must attend one of the shifts for 2 hours to receive attendance credit but you are welcome to work both shifts!!

WIB's Closet (Optional)
An event put on by our Director of Faith and Wellness! This event does not require any attendance check-in. This is an opportunity for members in need of business attire! For members not in need, you can still participate in this event. Bring clothes to donate or to trade with others! This can be business casual or professional clothes.

Marketing Tips with Magnolia (Professional Event)
Come learn about marketing from the perspective of Kate Barton, Magnolia Chief Brand Officer! At the conclusion of the event, every member will get to enjoy a Magnolia cupcake! This event is business casual attire!
